- Message from our Dean

Vietnam is a country of wonders and Hanoi is the jewel, words which are commonly used and not always correctly.
The British University Vietnam is located in the heart of Hanoi, close to the old town and the Hoan Kiem central lake as well as in the Central Business District. The University provides an excellent environment to work and study and Vietnam is ideally located for travel and research in Asia.
Vietnam is one of the potential powerhouses of Asia and a recent McKinsey Report said it has the potential to emulate South Korea in its development.
The city and the country are an excellent base to wider your knowledge of the region and skills to develop your career as well as join a new University which has exciting plans to develop to over 4,000 students in the next 5 years.
As Dean I can promise you an exciting journey and if you are like me, you will smile every day as being part of this amazing country and its development.
I hope to welcome you soon.

- The Lecturers viewpoint

I am very delighted to be part of the set-up at BUV, and I smile everyday as I see it grow. Teaching the students here is a rewarding experience that will last a life time.
The admin staffs are hardworking, supportive and eager to excel. In retrospect, I never thought I was going to be able to live and work away from London, but now BUV and Hanoi have changed my mind and I am considering a long term stay. The expat community is great and becoming bigger so it doesn’t feel like working away really.
