Job title: Student Experience Assistant Manager/ Senior Executive
Report to: Manager, Academic Support
Work location: Hanoi
Job Objective:
The Assistant Manager/Senior Executive is responsible for the overall management and operations of the Student Experience which includes Career Services and Extracurricular Activities. He/she is to liaise with his/her Line Manager and coordinate with the Chief Operating Officer on all activities and events to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Student Experience. He/she is also responsible to provide an awesome customer service to our students at British University Vietnam. The role is subject to change depending on the needs of the University
Key responsibilities:
- Career & Employment Services
- Manage and administer the operations of Career Services that includes internship programmes for our students
- Develop a comprehensive career placement database that is able to capture collaborations between the university and industry partners
- Identify and seek out potential career opportunities among employers and follow-up with employer requests for employment related services
- Enhance, develop and facilitate information sessions, interviews, seminars and workshops, prepare various materials such as pamphlets and brochures, to provide information, guidance on resume preparation, interviewing techniques, and job search strategies
- Coordinate counselling and information services and career and professional development sessions for students, parents and lecturers
- Plan and conduct talks and workshops to prospective and existing students, when necessary, on topics related to job seeking skills
- Clubs & Societies
- Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of information regarding student clubs and societies, activities and affairs to students in the University
- Ensure, through supervision, that all activities organised adhere to established policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to student activities and affairs
- Assist students in planning and coordinating various student activities, events and functions, including coordinating the event infrastructure, as appropriate
- Serve as coordinator to the Students Association, clubs & societies of the University and ensure that the programmes and activities meet the needs of the student body
- Others
- Prepare annual budget requirements for organizing and implementing all events within the department; regularly monitor the expenditures of these events and provide periodical reports to Management on efficiency and effectiveness of events organised
- Prepare periodic monthly reports and newsletter updates for Management and the University
- Ensure accurate and timely update of information via Website, Facebook and Notice Boards.
- Assist the Academic Support Department in other areas when the need arises
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Job Requirements:
- Must be a graduate from a reputable university, preferably in Business, Marketing, Management. An international education is an advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position preferably with a broad range of academic services related functions in an international educational institution
- Training and mentoring experience
- Must be proactive, results-driven, customer-oriented with professional demeanour
- Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Good in project management, planning and particularly in execution
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organisational skills
- Flexibility and cultural awareness
- Computer literacy in MS office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

- Deal with student issues
- In charge of day to day operation of timetable and attendance
- Help with rescheduling and make up
- Issue student correspondence

- Store and issue examination papers/ scripts

- Manage the exam process and marking/moderation

- Implement fee payment process

Job requirement
- Qualified Vietnamese nationals
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education or Linguistics
- At least 1 year experience in course administration in a university context or English language centre
- Must be pro-active, results-driven and precise
- Excellent attention to detail
- Filing, time management and organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Vietnamese and English
- Computer skills in MS office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Job description:
Sales activities
1. Work as a member who manage the undergraduate degree courses to achieve the sales target in order to continuously increase the number of new students and continuous students studying at BUV
2. Actively promote recruitment to pre-university English course including placement tests and maximize the conversation rate of applications to BUV degree
Customer Services activities
1. Provide services to all students of the degree and pre-university courses at BUV with the highest level of personalized service
2. Counsel students on course selection including compulsory and optional modules
3. Actively register students from the BUV database and align with the admission officer to make sure they get a timely decision on the application for the degree courses
4. Accurately register the students on the pre-university courses having conducted the PT to ensure the minimum number of student per class
5. Receive and manage payments from all students to ensure all tuition fees are updated and recorded with the highest rate of accuracy
6. Explain the available scholarship to pre-university courses at BUV, encouraging eligible students to apply
Other duties
Perform other duties as maybe directed from time to time by Assistant Student Recruitment Manager
Job requirement- Vietnamese national
- Holder of Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or Foreigner Languages
- At least two years experiences in the same position in FMCG companies is an advantage (regardless of industry)
