Eligibility
- Open to Vietnamese citizens only
- Awarded for undergraduate studies in programmes awarded by Staffordshire in May 2011
- Applicable to full-time studies
Application Criteria
Minimum requirements:
- GPA of Year 12 at 8.0 or equivalent academic excellence
- An impressive community contribution and co-curricular activities involvement record
- Development potential, strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- An essay is also an important factor for assessment.
All applicants are required to submit an essay that comprises the following:
- Your professional aims or career goals in the future
- Describe a personal challenge that you have faced, how you cope with this challenge and why you are applying for this scholarship
(*) Scholarship application form, related document enclosed and interviews are all in English
Value of the Scholarships
4 scholarships of 360 million Vietnam dong and 3 scholarships of 100 million Vietnam dong are available.
Selection Process
All shortlisted candidates are required to undergo an interview by the British University Vietnam Scholarships Selection Panel. You will be notified in writing if your application is successful. The decision on which type of scholarship, VND 360,000,000 or VND 100,000,000 is suitable for the candidate(s) is made by the British University Vietnam based on the results of interviews with candidates and other criteria.
BUV does not enter into any correspondence on the award of the Scholarship and reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions of any BUV Scholarship without giving prior notice.
Bond of Scholarships
Students who gain the scholarships are eligible for the whole scholarships once they attend the 3-year course. Given the withdrawal of students at any time, the validation of the scholarship will be terminated at once.
Terms and conditions
- Only shortlisted candidates will be notified
- This scholarship will cover tuition fee only, not applicable to the other charges. The scholarship will be deducted from the annual tuition fee of the grantee and subject to assessment and renewal on an annual basis in the course of pursuing the named programme above.
- Should the applicant withdraw from the programme before satisfactory completion of the programme, he/she will have to comply with the Refund Policy laid down by the British Univesity Vietnam.
- The reimbursement of the tuition fees, and any other fees and allowance must be made to University within three months of withdrawal.
